10 Rules for Effortless, Everyday Style

In this series, I share some simple tips for leveling up your daily looks.

I finally made my first trip to Paris and it was even better than I imagined! Here are some of the outfits I wore during our 3-day trip, which was a mix of walking around the city, going to cafés, shopping, visiting museums and going out to dinner. I was very committed to packing minimally, and I still felt like I had so many options and that I always had the right thing to wear.

Black blazer / straight leg jeans / black tank top (Natalie15 for 15% off my favorite tank brand) / white sneakers (went down a size in these)

Slip dress / lab-grown sapphire necklace / black heels

Tube top / black trousers / black sandals / round sunglasses

Tube top / cream trousers / black sandals

What size blazer did you go with? I want mine to fit like yours does and not sloppy.

  2. Ashlie says:

Hi Natalie! Were those sandals comfortable to walk around in all day? I noticed that you had them in two colors, so figured they’re at least decently comfy? Thank you!

  3. Jen says:

Love seeing this! Could you share what kind of wallet you carry? Xo

  4. Michelle says:

Hi Natalie! What size do you have in your white button down shirt? I’m 5’2” and curvy. Since it’s oversized and I’m petite, I’m not sure if I should take my usual medium or size down to a small. Would love your recommendation. Thanks!

  5. Maggie says:

How did the Lena trousers from Na Nin hold do in the heat – and to travel in general? They look like the drape is fabulous but sometimes that takes some effort to achieve depending on the fabric. I am not a tube top wearer and lean more towards somewhat oversized drapey tops, french tucked, and a pair of pants like these that can handle any top thrown at them, and still look good, would be a travel wardrobe staple for me.

  6. Dee says:

It’s so nice to see you back!

I love all of these outfits! I bought the na nin pants and have received so many compliments.

I love the tube top but I’m probably an XL (these 34Gs need some room) which is not stocked. Have you seen anything of similar quality that has larger sizes? Thanks!

  7. Sarah says:

Im curious about how the cream knit dress and black tube top fits. I’m in between XS/S. Would you recommend taking my smaller or larger size? So glad to see you back! XO!

    • Natalie says:

I got my usual size in the knit dress and it’s been good — note that it does loosen a bit with wear, too. And I’d say the tube top is TTS, too!
