10 Rules for Effortless, Everyday Style

In this series, I share some simple tips for leveling up your daily looks.

The art of a well-edited closet is learning what works for you. It’s not necessarily about trends or what other people think is cool; it’s about what makes you feel confident and comfortable and like YOURSELF. Start by identifying your most-worn items and curating your closet around them. In her book Minimalista, @shiragill described the concept with a phrase “all killer, no filler” — meaning that you should only have things in your wardrobe that you LOVE (even if it’s a small amount of things).

Key takeaway: Less is more — build your wardrobe around your most-loved pieces for confidence and comfort in your self-expression and personal style.
