As a mom to a busy, messy little boy, I am completely in love with the idea of play dresses for playful moms, the motto that accompanies the Sonnet James brand. Ethically made in San Francisco from stretchy, machine-washable fabric, it’s like a dress made of yoga pants that makes you look like a million bucks.
I recently did a little giveaway with Whitney and snapped these photos as options for her to use on her Instagram feed. I admit, I was in a major hurry and feeling a little scattered when these were taken. It was 6:55pm (Jack’s bedtime is normally 7pm, ha!) and Brian had just gotten home from work. I knew they needed to be sent over before the end of the night and Brian took them all on his iPhone while holding Jack (who was wearing his pre-bath uniform of nothing but a diaper). It was a hilarious scene, and I couldn’t be more surprised at how well the photos turned out.
The dress in the photos is the Sonnet James Quincy Dress in grey, which I’d had my eye on for over a year and finally snatched up when it came back in stock. I paired it with the handmade Sadie Necklace from my shop, a laid-back denim jacket, ultra-tall-and-ultra-comfy wedges, and a crossbody to match. I definitely will be wearing this outfit again!
