10 Rules for Effortless, Everyday Style

In this series, I share some simple tips for leveling up your daily looks.

I decided to mark this post with a date in the title because the reality is that I’m someone who likes to change products, and I’m sure this routine will change again soon! But I have recently started using some new products that I’m enjoying and thought I’d share a bit about what my morning and evening skincare routines look like right now.

AM SKINCARE

UPDATE: 10/29: I recently added FutureDew as the final step in my skincare routine and it really delivers a dose of that dewy glow that I’m after. Love it!

UPDATE 8/6: shortly after writing this post and filming the video, I added Sunday Riley Good Genes to the very beginning of my morning routine and it’s a skin game-changer!! I like to apply it and let it sit on my skin for a few minutes before moving on to the rest of my routine.

I keep it pretty simple in the morning. When I wake up, I usually splash my face with a bit of water if I’m not taking a shower to help myself feel more awake, as well as get my skin ready to have my morning products applied. While my skin is a bit damp still, I apply Glossier Bubblewrap Eye + Lip Cream to my undereye area and on my lips, and then I use Tula Glow & Get It Eye Balm to reduce puffiness. Next I use Beautycounter Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion to moisturize, followed by Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Oil to lock in the hydration. This moisturizer-then-oil process is something I just started doing about a month ago after learning about it through @biossance on Instagram. The last step of my morning routine before makeup is my Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen SPF40—I love how weightless it is, and it’s not greasy at all.

PM SKINCARE

This is where I really put in the majority of my skincare efforts. To start, I cleanse with Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water. Once my skin is clean and dry, I apply a pump of Sunday Riley A+ High Dose Retinol Serum to my face and neck and let it work its magic while I brush my teeth. Next, I apply Glossier Super Bounce Serum and use my Skin Gym Rose Quartz Roller to lightly massage my face (I feel way less puffy in the morning when I do this as part of my routine!). Lastly, I moisturize with the same Beautycounter Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion and Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Oil that I use in my morning routine.

Do you have a skincare routine that you follow? What are some favorite products of yours?!

Have you ever tried any of the Honest beauty products? If so what did you think?

  2. Kate says:

I feel like there are a lot of conflicting reviews on the Glossier website about Bubblewrap, which is why I’ve hesitated to buy in it the past. Have you ever had any issues with it or know anyone who has? I have somewhat sensitive skin and I’m always so scared to try a new product that has a lot of divisive reviews. Love this guide so much though – you are the absolutely most helpful!

  3. Lisa Hill says:

I really like your skincare routine. I would like to use these products in my skincare routine. Thanks a lot for sharing.

  4. Catie says:

Natalie, when you buy all these products up front, how long do they last before you buy again?

    • Natalie says:

Ohh, good question! I should look up when I bought each product and keep a log—I feel like a lot of people would appreciate knowing that since some of these are fairly pricey.

  5. Morgan says:

I love Indie Lee skincare products!! They are clean + affordable!
