This has always been the dreamiest time of day, but it feels even more so in our new space. The way the light hits the trees and shines through onto the whitewashed brick is insanely beautiful. Needless to say we’ve been spending a lot of time out in our backyard lately! We’ve even had friends over several times, deciding that it’s better to be invitational now (while our house is messy and full of boxes) than to wait until everything is “perfect.” I love this article on the topic—funny and inspiring.

This top is one I’ve worn several times this summer and plan to keep on wearing through fall with a cardigan over it. It’s lightweight and breezy—a perfect layer for these strange fall days we have in San Diego where it’s super chilly at the beginning and end of the day but quite warm in the middle. It’s a little cropped, so it’s a perfectly paired with high rise denim.
