10 Rules for Effortless, Everyday Style

In this series, I share some simple tips for leveling up your daily looks.

I started using Glossier when Boy Brow came out. It was my first introduction to the brand and they got me hooked! Over the years I’ve tested out a lot of their products, used their products regularly, and strayed and tested out other brands for a while. But here I am again, on a full Glossier makeup routine! These are the 5 products I use daily for a natural, minimalist makeup look…

Boy Brow | Though I’ve tested out several other brow gels, I always come back to this one! It has a pomade-like texture and I love the small brush applicator. I wear the brown color, and it’s also available in blond, auburn, black and clear. Note: save $4 when you buy this with Brow Flick.

Brow Flick | This one takes some practice, but once I got the hang of it I was hooked. I learned how to apply it properly by watching Katie Jane Hughes’ tutorials. The trick is to be very light handed and make sure you have really good light while you apply. It’s very smudge resistant, too — I regularly go swimming and just leave on my brow makeup and as long as I’m not wiping my eyebrows everything stays put. I wear the brown color, and it’s also available in blond and black. Note: save $4 when you buy this with Boy Brow.

Stretch Concealer | This is a really dewy concealer that lets your skin look like skin. I use it under my eyes and to cover any redness or blemishes. I should note that this is definitely more of an everyday concealer for when your skin is feeling happy, and not a full-coverage option. It comes in 12 shades and I wear G9.

Cloud Paint | I’ve definitely dabbled in a lot of other cheek color options, but this is the one I keep coming back to because it really stays on and it looks so natural. My current favorite color is Storm, but I tend to use Beam in the warmer months.

Glossier You | This is my all-time favorite fragrance and what I wear daily. Highly recommend!

How does the brow gel compare to Beauty Counters? I feel like you have used both and would love a comparison.

I’ve been looking for simple cheek color. Thanks for the post!

This is such a good cheek color option! The trick is to start with a small amount and sort of pat it on. Looks so natural and gives a really healthy color to the cheeks.

  3. I have all of these products and I love them too!

  4. Anne says:

Question – do you use a lip color or is that your natural hue? TIA!

  5. Chantel says:

balm dotcom is my favorite. i love that they offer an unscented version, but i hate the applicator. if it came with a lip applicator tip, it’d be perfect!

i wish they hadn’t discontinued the solid version of You. it’s my favorite way to apply fragrance.
