10 Rules for Effortless, Everyday Style

In this series, I share some simple tips for leveling up your daily looks.

For our last day in London, we got up early to enjoy one final morning of exploring around town before we had to head to the airport. You may notice that this outfit is exactly the same as yesterday’s, just with two little swaps: a different top, and a different bag.

When traveling and in everyday life, making a slight change to an outfit you love easily creates a brand new look! This outfit is the most like what I imagined wearing when we first planned the trip — before we realized it would be warm and sunny most of the time! I also wore this for the flight home.

The small brand focus of this look is the Freda Salvador boots. These rain-or-shine waterproof suede boots are so lightweight and perfect for exploring a new city, or wearing around town in your own city. They fit TTS for me, but if you will wear thick socks with yours I’d maybe go up 1/2 size. Use 15BORTON for 15% off your first purchase.

As for the rest of the outfit, the top is Rebecca Minkoff, bag is Madewell, and the trench is old from Everlane (similar options from small brands here and here). The jeans are also from Madewell and they’re several years old, but if you want to hunt them down secondhand, they’re the Perfect Vintage Crop Jean in Sumner Wash.
