10 Rules for Effortless, Everyday Style

In this series, I share some simple tips for leveling up your daily looks.

Brian, Jack and I have gotten into a little weekend routine over the past few months and it goes a little something like this: quick stop for coffee, 5 minute photoshoot nearby, walk to the park. Every weekend we do some version of it. Sometimes just on Saturday. Sometimes both mornings, namely if Jack freaks out at church childcare and it’s obvious the only solution is just to leave and try again next week.

I shared a look featuring this vest with grey jeans back in March, as well as in April with boyfriend shorts. I honestly don’t wear it a ton, but every time I do I think, Why don’t I wear this more often?! It’s truly a wardrobe multiplier, as it changes an outfit completely, meaning you feel like you have twice as many outfits!

Anyway, the real star of this post is, of course, the new Dylan Necklace. I can definitively say it’s my favorite piece I’ve ever designed so far and I wear it with every outfit that requires a long necklace. It’s funky and modern and neutral and I love the mix of white, wood and matte gold. This is just one of the many ways I’ve styled it recently, and I can promise you you’ll see more of it in weeks to come!
