I know it’s still summertime and that fall weather is still a long way away (at least for us in San Diego it is!), but these leggings (available in plus here) are my absolute favorites and they are included in the Nordstrom sale right now. They normally are $98 but are marked down to $65, which is lowest price I ever see them discounted anywhere. I find that they run a bit small so I like to size up one size. (Side note: they come in maternity also but those aren’t on sale right now).
These leggings are my favorite for days when I don’t want to wear denim but still want to feel put together. They are a chic alternative to active wear and honestly so easy to style once you get an outfit formula in your head. For me, it’s usually a tee or button down, a cardigan or jacket, and mules or boots. In all of these looks, I’m wearing my Emma Hoops in Mini Brass Bicone, my three Yearly Co. bangles (I have two Initial Bangles with “J” and “L” on them for my kids’ initials, and a Twist Bangle) as well as my hammered gold ring Brian got me from J. Albrecht Designs in Colorado.
There are SO MANY possibilities with these leggings, but here are 4 ideas to get you started…
This Anine Bing tee is a no-brainer for pairing with leather details. I love the mix of the edgy graphic tee and leather with the more traditional/preppy style of the sweater blazer. My tee is true to size, the blazer runs big (I sized down one size), and the mules run narrow so I recommend going up a 1/2 size.
Once again, a graphic tee with a layer over it is an easy pairing with these leggings! The tee (TTS) has a touch of leopard in it, so I added a bit more detail with more leopard by adding the loafers into the mix. The jacket runs a bit big but I got my usual size so it would have an oversized fit. I’ve had this bag for YEARS and it continues to be a favorite. I love that it zips closed, and it’s a good sized for a daily crossbody. I also ordered this version with the suede stripe from the Nordstrom sale!
If you’re feeling bold, this look is a fun way to incorporate some color and pattern that isn’t too over the top. I sized up in my chambray for an oversized fit so I could wear it with jeans as well as leggings like this. The boots are so comfortable that I bought another pair in brown for this year—I wore them SO MUCH last fall! They fit TTS.
Lastly, here’s an easy neutral look to try. The top is long enough to cover my bum, so the shorter jacket still works here and also serves to help define my waistline. The jacket runs big but I got my usual size. This necklace will be available in my shop as part of the August Collection, which launches on August 1st.
