I’m heading up to Northern California to celebrate the Freda Salvador store opening in San Francisco, as well as get together with three of my dear friends Ailsa, Conni and Karla. I definitely could’ve packed less, but my rule is that whatever fits in the carry-on can come along, and I wanted to give myself plenty of options to work with depending on my mood and if it feels warm or cool out. Here’s what’s coming with me…

Honestly, I’m still kind of shocked it all fit! Here’s the carry-on I have and the packing cubes I use. So happy to be skipping baggage claim once again!
UPDATE 9/15/23: I ended up swapping out the high neck black tank for this lower v-neck tank. I also purchased a great pair of jeans while I was in Carmel and ended up wearing them twice while I was there, haha. Luckily everything still fit well in my bag and I did enjoy having several options so I could dress according to my mood (and the weather!).
Hi Natalie, I love your clothes and your style, as always,! I’m wondering how it felt to travel around San Francisco. I’m headed there at the end of the month and I’m a little bit worried about safety issues. I keep hearing that the city is a mess. How did you find it?
I wouldn’t have a car with you if you can avoid it (take Uber or a taxi instead).

Loved your packing video Natalie! And you hit it on the nail about dressing per the mood. I tend to always change it up by either wearing something new that I purchased during the trip or a totally unthought of combination of what I packed. My mood on the day really sometimes contribute to the outcome of my outfits!!

What did you do/where did you shop in Carmel?
I live nearby and we seem to have gotten in a rut (do the same things over and over). I love hearing other people’s perspective – nice to see home through fresh eyes!
Didn’t do a ton of shopping (distracted by chatting, haha), but we did really enjoy Girl Boy Girl and Paloosh for clothes shopping.
The striped shirt is totally sold out. Can you recommend a similar shirt? I love that one so much and I’m bummed it’s gone.
