Attention all of you who are looking for chic, minimalist, mom-friendly clothing—this post is for you!! Sure, every style post is pretty much about that, but today really hits the nail on the head. I recently discovered a brand that makes super simple clothing that is flattering, comfortable and chic. Bonus: all of my necklaces look amazing with their clothes, so I’m pretty smitten.
Tapered Collection makes feminine, everyday basics with flattering silhouettes. All made in Fall River, Massachusetts from high-quality 100% Supima cotton, their pieces are pre-shrunk and garment-dyed, meaning no shrinking and no fading. I love that they don’t offer a lot of products—just the classics done right. The owner, Astrid, sent over this dress and two tees and I’ve been wearing them since they arrived! In fact, if you followed my Instagram story over the weekend you definitely spotted their 3/4 tee, which I paired with a high waisted denim skirt.
The dress I’m wearing—The Tapered Dolman Dress—is the only dress they offer right now and is cut slimmer at the bottom and looser at the top. Let me be clear when I say this is not a normally flattering silhouette on me! I am a mama with curves and these hips don’t lie, so I was a little nervous to try it on! But it totally surprised me and I think the cut actually struck a perfect balance by having a modest cut with a bit of a sexy flare thanks to the way it hugs my curves. The draping is lovely and instead of changing into my pajamas during Jack’s nap time (which I always do!), I left it on all day long. That’s saying something!
In a nutshell, I love it. And you definitely will see it on my body again in the near future 😉
P.S. A little secret for you: Not only is Tapered Collection is my very first online wholesale customer, but they also are offering my not-yet-released Amelia Tassel Necklace on their site right now!! Grab it while you can 😉
