New Year’s Eve is coming up fast, and obviously this year’s celebrations will look a lot different than other years. I’m personally more excited than ever for this NYE because we finally get the keys to our new house! And you better believe I’m getting dressed up and sipping bubbly at midnight—even if I have no furniture yet and am using a paper cup.
While I will never judge anyone for going the pajamas route—especially for a holiday at home—I always feel more celebratory and festive when I change into a holiday outfit, even if it’s really simple. I put together 3 NYE looks for you featuring an item most people already have: a black turtleneck. These looks aren’t super fancy—they definitely fall into the minimalist category—but they’re comfortable and put together and are sure to make the night feel special, even when you’re just home with your family or on Zoom with your best friends.
The exact turtleneck I’m wearing was gifted by EILEEN FISHER as part of the holiday outfit campaign I did with them earlier this month, but as I said, you definitely can use any black turtleneck you already have to replicate the looks.
OUTFIT 1: When in doubt, I reach for dark skinny jeans, over the knee boots and a black top. It has a low-key dressy vibe that feels both elevated and comfortable.
Turtleneck (size down) / Similar jeans / Boots (high end version, and another similar version)
OUTFIT 2: For a dressier look that doesn’t compromise on comfort, I grabbed a patterned maxi skirt and some low heels. I could easily lounge around the house all night in this!
Turtleneck (size down) / Skirt (10% off with Nat2020) / Shoes (TTS)
OUTFIT 3: Nothing makes me feel more festive than a faux fur stole—it seriously adds holiday flair to any outfit! I love it mixed with the black top, white jeans and suede mules for a luxe, minimalist holiday look.
Turtleneck (size down) / Jeans (also similar and similar) / Mules (20% off with Natalie20 through 12/31, or 15% off with Natalie15 as of 1/1) / Similar faux fur stole
Which look is your favorite? Will you dress up this NYE or stick with pajamas?
