We made it! The weekend is here!
This week has no doubt been a rollercoaster—the election, the shooting in Thousand Oaks, and now the fires in California. Processing our emotions isn’t always easy, and I struggle sometimes with feeling overwhelmed by how dark the world can be. But I’ve come to realize that both joy and sorrow can co-exist. This week I simultaneously feel deep sorrow for our world, and also great joy for the good things happening around me as well—there is so much to be grateful for—and I’ve decided it’s perfectly okay to feel both things!
That being said, here are some things I wanted to share with you for your reading and shopping pleasure…
“Everywhere we see destruction in our lives, we will one day see restoration. Where we feel only brokenness, we will one day experience healing. The grief we know so intimately now will one day be replaced with deep, lasting joy. Right now, this very moment, Jesus is working to make all things new.” —She Reads Truth
