It’s official. I’ve lived in Southern California long enough to start dressing like a hipster! This outfit came together naturally—I knew I wanted (needed) to wear my hat due to dirty hair, and I also really wanted to finally wear the top I’d gotten recently at Madewell. I grabbed the grey jeans instead of the blue ones because they haven’t gotten much love lately, and as soon as I put on the denim jacket, I realized I had transformed into a hipster in a matter of minutes.
Also, the whole jacket-or-shirt-around-the-waist look is quickly becoming a regular thing for me. I do it all the time! It used to feel so awkward but I’ve come to love the way it not only provides a place to put a jacket when I don’t need it anymore, it also defines my waist and is just overall pretty dang flattering (in a somewhat 90s way). Do you ever do that?!
P.S. Calling all Southern California gals!!! My first-ever jewelry popup shop is happening on Saturday at Madewell at The Forum in Carlsbad. It’s from 11-1pm and I’d love to see your beautiful face there, even just for a minute or two. You can get all the details here. Your support means the world to me!
