Sadly fall was nowhere to be found, but I felt so happy I included my black swing dress in the capsule because it’s a perfect easy piece to wear when it’s warm out. This outfit is a great example of why this capsule challenge is so beneficial—I don’t know that I otherwise would’ve added the accessories I added had I not felt like I needed to make this plain dress a little bit more interesting.
Once again, I relied on this trusty brown hat to infuse an otherwise warm-weather outfit with some fall vibes. I kept the overall colors in the brown/black family for a neutral look that was weather-appropriate and comfortable. I especially love the way the Blakely Necklace pops against the black dress! FYI—I’ve shortened the chain on this one to 30″ so it’s not bouncing against my bump.
Also, you may notice that I have a lot more hair in this post. Many thanks to my Luxy Hair extensions for that! Since I’ve been feeling pretty awful for the past month, I’d pretty much given up on doing my hair (outside of dry shampoo and several sprays of this). Luckily after a lot of rest this weekend (and perhaps some shifting of where baby girl is positioned in my belly), I’m feeling better and finally decided to give my hair a little style! I love to wear my hair in a braid on hot days, but my hair is too short for that right now so the extra length and volume of the extensions makes it possible. So easy, too!
