Vintage coat (similar option here or a great trench option here) / sweater (mine is “hazel” but “serpentine” is similar) / tank (BORTON15 for 15% off) / jeans (went down 1 size) / ballet flats (15BORTON for 15% off first order) / bag / chain necklace / droplet necklace coming soon / sunglasses coming soon
A tank and jeans: forever a favorite combination. This is outfit 2 in the 10 Piece Wardrobe series where I’ve chosen 10 clothing items as a mini-capsule of my favorite mix and match essentials. The pieces from my 10 Piece Wardrobe that I chose here were:
- Long camel coat (mine is vintage but linked a great current option!)
- High neck black tank
- Crew neck sweater (mine is “hazel” but “serpentine” is similar; or here is a cotton option — Natalie10 for 10% off)
- Wide leg jeans
I styled these pieces with ballet flats, gold jewelry, sunglasses and a black bag — plus the sweater over the shoulders (both aesthetic and functional for when I take the coat off inside in case it’s chilly!). I was originally thinking my trench would be my outerwear selection, and while that’s definitely true for spring & fall, the fact that it’s winter and my trench is quite thin — and the fact that I just got the most perfect vintage camel coat ever from A Part of the Rest — led me to choose a long camel coat.
Some alternate styling ideas:
- Pants could be full length vs rolled
- Coat could be a more lightweight layer like a trench
- Shoes could be sneakers like black high tops
- Tank could be a long sleeve top or turtleneck for colder climates
