This weekend we are heading to Massachusetts to celebrate my Memere’s 100th birthday — that’s right, 100 years old!! I wouldn’t have missed that for the world. The forecast is looking like mid-60s to mid-50s and rain, so I knew I needed to think practically as I put this list together. As usual, I packed it all in just a carry-on with my trusty packing cubes. Let’s discuss what’s going in my bag…
As always, I like to stick to a color palette so it’s easy to mix and match. For this trip, I’m going classic with black, white and tan.
- Black tank
- Cream linen tee (Natalie15 for 15% off)
- Striped tee (similar here)
- Black cashmere sweater
- Black tee
- Hazel brown sweater (available here in other colors)
- Baggy jeans
- Straight leg jeans
- Black wide leg crop jeans (similar here)
- Black belt
- Ivory duster
- Tan trench coat (similar here)
- Black slingback flats (similar here)
- White sneakers
- Hightop sneakers
- Black bag (old) & brass strap
- Checkered bag
- Black tote bag & strap
- Pajamas, sweatshirt & joggers, toiletries
Honestly, this is way more than I really need, but my policy is that if it fits in the carry-on, it’s allowed to come with me. New England weather is notoriously fickle so I’m glad I was able to pack a variety of things.
Love this, as always! Do you have a link for the wardrobe rack?
Long time subscriber to your weekly newsletter, first time commenter! Love this post for many reasons, but ultimately because our family is traveling to New England as well this fall. As a parent I am often the last one to pack, and preparing my own suitcase for this trip has been a challenge for me. Your very timely post has helped me collect my thoughts on how to pack more efficiently. Thank you 🙏🏻 and enjoyed your weekend!
So glad it was timely and helpful!!
You’re in my home state! Welcome to the fall freeze -_- can’t wait to see you do your fall fits in the most fall part of the country!
Loving the chill in the air and a chance to wear my sweaters!
