Camo made a big comeback last year and I’m so happy it did because the colors really work with my wardrobe color palette. Camo can sometimes feel very utilitarian or masculine, so today I’m showing you how I like to style my camo cardigan to balance out those elements. The key is to find feminine elements to mix in to create good outfit balance—my ideal outfits always have a mix of masculine and feminine and ideally a little something classic and a little something edgy.
My exact cardigan is sold out sadly (Anthro, bring it back!!), but here are some similar options that will achieve a similar look:
In every look, I’m wearing the Paloma Earrings in Brass + Horn (coming soon!) and the Parker Cuff Bracelet (sold out, but I think it’ll make a comeback later this year).
I dabbled in some print mixing for this one! The super neutral mini stripe really works with the larger print, muted camo cardigan. I also brought in more of the tan stripe tones with the woven accessories. The mules run a bit small so I went up 1/2 size.
Admittedly these leather pants haven’t gotten a ton of wear yet since I bought them right before Christmas (and then got pneumonia!), but the more I style them the more I want to wear them out and about—just need to get Southern California temperatures to drop a bit so I don’t end up in a Ross Geller situation, haha. They’re sadly sold out, but these are very similar! The flats are new from Everlane and I found them to be a bit loose in my usual size, so I exchanged for a 1/2 size down and they feel great.
Couldn’t resist busting out my new olive green sweatshirt for this style session—it mixes so well with the cardigan! I got my usual size, but it does have a slim fit so if you’re larger chested or in between sizes I’d go up a size. These jeans are the petite length, and I sized down for a better fit at the waist—thanks to stretch in the fabric, they still fit comfortably around the hip and bum area.
Can’t go wrong with a white button down in my book—it’s my go-to whenever I need to put together an outfit quickly. This one is a short-sleeve version, but this long sleeve Oxford is a great long sleeve option, too.
Saved the best for last—this one is my favorite!! It’s perfect for this time of year when spring is on the horizon, but maybe it’s still a bit chilly where you live. The sweater-on-sweater situation creates a lot of warmth, but then the white denim and mules are a springy touch. I went up 2 sizes in the sweater for a slouchy fit, and I’m actually wearing it backwards! I love that it can be worn 2 ways—makes it so versatile.
