I recently discovered Birdies (specifically their Starling flats) and they have quickly proven to be a solution to a problem I didn’t even realize I had.
Since my office is at home, I almost never wear my shoes to work. I usually kick them off at the front door when I come home from dropping my kids off at school, and either go barefoot or wear slippers for the day. The thing is, being barefoot on hardwood floor all day is really uncomfortable, and wearing slippers makes me feel more like getting ready for bed than working hard for hours.
Enter Birdies. Super comfy flats that have cushioning and don’t need breaking in. I keep them at the entrance of my office and slide my feet in when I start my day. Problem SOLVED. While these flats go with almost everything I wear, here are 3 ways I’ve recently worn my leopard pair in the office…
Have you tried Birdies yet? I think I want to try some of their slides next!
Thank you to Birdies for sponsoring this post and solving my office shoe dilemma.
Loving those leopard print flats! As a shoes-off at the front door person who works from home, I totally get your shoe dilemma. I really just end up going barefoot most of the time. Since, I typically wear flats when I go out, I never bother to put on socks either. Going barefoot doesn’t bother me, especially with carpeted floors.
My only issue is I feel like going barefoot looks weird with business casual. I typically wear a tucked-in button-down and skinny jeans, and I’ll throw on a scarf and blazer or cardigan to spice things up. I don’t mind it when I’m by myself, but when I have guests over, I feel super awkward wearing a blazer and skinnies with bare feet. I’d love to put on house shoes, but I feel like I have to go barefoot if I ask my guests to take off their shoes.
