As most of you probably know by now, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started today and it’s honestly one of the best sales if you ask me. Yes, there is A TON of hype about it, and I honestly do get a bit sick of it by the end of the sale, but it’s a great opportunity to invest in some quality items at a discount. I’ve scoured the site so you don’t have to and picked out my favorites. If you have early access, definitely get them while you can because I think they will go fast!

If you aren’t a Nordstrom cardholder, the sale opens up to the public on July 20th—I recommend adding anything you love to your wish list on the Nordstrom site so it’s easier to add them to your cart when the sale is opened up to everyone.

As always, there are lots of basics, neutrals and classic items for you here 🙂

I’ll start it off with the one item I personally have already and highly recommend getting during this sale: Spanx Faux Leather Leggings—they are normally $98 but are on sale for $64.90! I honestly wear them multiple times a week once the weather cools down in the fall and winter—they are so comfortable and flattering and just a great everyday essential for those of us who like to be casual but look stylish at the same time. You can see me wearing mine here and here (I wear size medium and recommend going up one size from your normal size when you buy them).

Okay, now on to the rest of my picks…

SWEATERS
Despite living in San Diego, I’m addicted to sweaters. There are so many good ones in this sale right now! It was sort of hard to narrow it down. I think those two pullover sweaters are going to go really quickly.

TOPS
How adorable is that sleeveless floral one? Also really into the cropped white top from Madewell—it ties in the back and would look great with high rise jeans.

BOTTOMS
Madewell denim is included in the sale—GRAB IT IF YOU CAN!!! I recommend sizing down one size from your normal size in their jeans for the best fit. I personally already own the black jeans I included here and they are so great for fall and winter! And those kick flare/demi boot jeans are on my wish list. I also included a pair of less expensive denim I’ve seen some other bloggers try on and they look like really amazing jeans for a great price—word on the street is to size down one size.

OUTERWEAR
If you need to invest in a new coat for fall and winter, now is a great time. I personally am in the market for a rain jacket and love this olive green one I found. Also very interested in that new J.Crew blazer colorway! If you live in a cold climate, please buy one of these gorgeous coats for yourself so I can live vicariously through you!

DRESSES
Honestly I was not super impressed with the dresses on sale this year, but these two are super cute.

SHOES
In addition to hoarding sweaters, I also have become a shoe lover over the past couple of years. Again, so hard to limit my choices but these are my favorite reasonably priced finds from the sale. Mule loafers are a #legitmomstyle essential for me, so I selected a few of those. Also…those gingham Vans are adorable! The pointed toe flats are definitely pricey, but are so versatile and won’t go out of style.

LOUNGE/SLEEP
Much like dresses, I didn’t find a ton I loved in the sale, but I am very into that floral top and shorts combo. Also, the striped cape would be so cozy to wear around the house with leggings and tank, don’t you think?
