The Blakely Necklace in Beach + Swing Top

08.24.17

Good news: The Blakely Necklace in Beach is now available in the shop! I can already tell you, when I’m not in pajamas, the outfit I’m in right here will 100% be my what I wear for the last month of my pregnancy if the weather ever cools down. It’s so simple and comfortable and put-together. I know this top will also be a go-to during those squishy belly postpartum days—it’s both loose and flattering which is super ideal after you push a baby out of your body.

Another thing I love about this look is how it really lets my necklace be the star (which, you know, really matters to me as a jewelry designer!). To be totally honest, at this point in my pregnancy my usual 32″ chain really hits me at exactly the wrong place—right on top of my bump! So I’m sporting a custom 30″ chain here and probably will continue to do so until I have a waist again. (By the way, if you ever want a custom chain you can always add it on to your order and specify the length at checkout 😉

The Blakely Necklace in Beach is the perfect statement necklace for a minimalist. It features an agate slice pendant with sandy, salty hues (tan, ivory and even a little greyish-blue) and 24K gold electroplating on the edges. Since agate is a natural product, each pendant is unique, varying slightly in size and detail and measuring 2″ to 3″ long. Here’s an up close peek at the piece and some of the variations, plus outfit details below:

What size are you wearing in the Hatch top? On their website, it looks short on the model’s torso but looks a little longer in this post. Thanks!!

    • Mine just says o/s for the size, but perhaps that’s because I got it from Shopbop vs. Hatch directly? I am only 5’4″ which is probably why it looks longer on me than on the model!
