Behind the Scenes

My Havenly-Designed Office Tour

July 25, 2017

Today I’m showing off where the magic happens—my office space! Originally featured over on Glitter Guide, you can read all of my tips for being a work-from-home mom on that post, and here I’m giving you the before and afters as well as insight into the design process with Havenly. (Scroll down for a discount code, too!)

Before

When we moved into our house in September, it was high on our priority list to have a real room for me to design and make jewelry, store shipping materials, etc. (It had previously been done from my garage!). Since my new office space is actually a lofted area that’s visible from the front door, I knew it not only needed to be functional but really beautiful as well. When I reached out to Havenly for a little design assistance, they happily offered to help me put together the space, helping me take my initial inspiration and turn it into a gorgeous space I love to work in (which you can see here in all the photos!).

The havenly DESIGNS

The process was surprisingly easy for such a large task—designing an office from scratch. I picked a designer based on my styling goals and filled out a style profile, then the real collaboration began. My designer Priscilla sent over initial ideas (which incorporated pieces I already owned!) and I shared my likes and dislikes from the different concepts.

Idea #3

From there, she took the dimensions I’d provided her with and created a 3D rendering of my room featuring two final design concepts for me to choose from.

Concept #2

From the concept phase, I shared what I liked and disliked from each as well as picked an overarching favorite (concept #1), and she then moved forward to create a final design for me.

Final Design (from multiple angles)

Once I approved the final design, I was able to purchase the products directly from Havenly‘s site, which honestly made the whole process so simple and stress-free. I’m so happy with the final outcome! Here’s what it looks like in real life…

After

And there you have it—that’s where everything business-related happens. I make your jewelry here, ship your orders from here, and reply to my emails from here. It’s such a gorgeous space that makes me happy to spend time in.

I am so pleased with the end result and thankful Havenly was willing to partner with me to create this space (full disclosure: they provided some of the products I ultimately ended up with in my office). It was an incredible experience and I absolutely would consider using them for a different space in my house in the future. If you need any design help, check them out!
