Fall 10×10 | Recap + Reflections

10.18.17

Confession: I’m really glad the Fall 10×10 is over…

Let me first say, I’m really glad I decided to try it. It was a perfect time to do a wardrobe challenge like this, as my clothing is already fairly limited during my third trimester. It was fun to pull together core pieces to work with, and I definitely got creative mixing and matching. I don’t regret doing it!

That being said, I love, love, love that I can now wear whatever I want (well, whatever I want that fits a 38 week baby bump!). I feel so FREE!! And knowing I’m only weeks away from starting to dip back into my non-maternity clothes gets me giddy inside. Yes, I do love living simply and being as minimalist as possible, but perhaps I’m someone who is more cut out for an overall well-edited wardrobe rather than a seasonal capsule.

The weather really threw me for a loop during these 10 days, so that also could be a reason I struggled a bit. I knew it wouldn’t be too chilly, but I did not anticipate the super hot temperatures we ended up with and honestly just wanted to wear my black swing dress or Hatch jumpsuit every day. Had I not been recording my outfits for this series, I definitely would have, haha.

I did end up creating 10 different outfits with 10 (okay, okay 11!) items of clothing. The vest snuck in there on day 9 and was only worn once, but it was necessary! Here’s a peek at the looks in case you missed them:

All in all, as much as I’m happy it’s over, I think I’d be up for trying this challenge again next season—especially because I wouldn’t have the added obstacle of the bump. We shall see! I hope you guys enjoyed following along as I created these looks to pair with my jewelry—it was fun to have so much fresh content on the blog and I’m feeling creatively invigorated 🙂

I loved following your take on Fall 10×10! I’m 30 weeks pregnant so I can relate when it comes to my limited wardrobe! This Irish girl is envious of your Californian weather! Also, I’m really considering buying the Boob dress from day one!

    • Thank you! I’m glad it was helpful 🙂 As far as the weather goes, I suppose the grass is always greener on the other side!
