Hot cider, a cozy sweater, a slightly chilly evening and a festive fall activity—our trip to the pumpkin patch this weekend was something I so desperately wanted and needed but I wasn’t sure we were ever going to get there!
Long story short, starting last week, I developed excruciating rib pain along with the ridiculous, unending cough I’ve had since Labor Day Weekend. Basically the cherry on top of a miserable last couple of months of pregnancy. I had pretty much given up on the idea of leaving the house anymore because it took everything in me just to walk down the stairs and go sit on my porch in the morning.
But after two full days of rest—thanks to Brian doing 100% of the parenting—the pain decreased to a more subtle (and manageable) soreness and we decided it was worth it to make the trip to lift my spirits. Needless to say, it worked and I am feeling a lot more positive about my final 3 weeks of pregnancy this morning. I can do it, I can do it, I can do it.
You know I love simple looks and neutrals and this is exactly that, with just a hint of color and personality thanks to my tassel necklace.
When I felt a teensy bit of chill in the air, I jumped at the chance to wear my sweater and create a cozy Southern California fall look that felt right for pumpkin perusing. I have been so surprised at how truly versatile this VETTA sweater is and have never been happier that I took the plunge on purchasing something. Sadly—though not surprisingly—it’s sold out, but you can give them your email address to be notified of a restock.
