10 Rules for Effortless, Everyday Style

In this series, I share some simple tips for leveling up your daily looks.

This sweater gets more wear than any other in my closet. You’ve seen it several times here on the blog (like herehere and here) and I honestly wear it at least 1-2 times a week. It works for date nights, work days and even lounging around the house and I love how easily it can be dressed up or down. It’s super soft, affordable ($100 is an amazing price for a cashmere sweater!), and it’s responsibly made.

As far as the rest of the outfit goes, I honestly don’t wear these flares often, but every couple of months I get an itch to put them on and always love the 70s vibe I get from them. To emphasize my waist since they’re high rise, I used a clear elastic to create a faux knot in my sweater. It’s a trick I use a lot with skirts in the summer, but works equally well here. I finished the look with my go-to Madewell crossbody, simple ankle boots and a necklace from my shop (which is still available—hooray!).
